New Restaurants to Try this September

Updated: Jan 27, 2020

Summer might be over, but the culinary heat the summer brought us will last all year. F+B is taking the opportunity to highlight some of the incredible restaurants that opened last month, for the sake of everyone's taste buds.

@coyotaco

1. Coyo Taco

This favorite taco spot became so popular that it has once again branched out to open another location. With two prior locations in Wynwood and Downtown Miami, the owners have now opened their third and most anticipated location in Coral Gables last month. One new and unique feature of this Gables location is a speakeasy with a hidden entrance, giving everyone in Miami yet another reason to check out Coyo Taco.

2. Cracked

The former food truck concept Cracked, by Chef Adrianne Calvo upgraded to brick-and-mortar. Located at the former No Name Chinese space, the newest restaurant edition of Cracked will offer table service and an expanded menu from her food truck. Settling into South Miami, Cracked is sure to contribute to the rising culinary culture around the area. Calvo made a great point that,"You have people that overlooked South Miami for too long. Sunset Place is being revitalized, and there's a big hotel coming in within the next couple of years. Everything is on the upswing in South Miami.”

3. Esotico

The newest venture from the acclaimed restaurant operators, the Graspa Group, Esotico Miami is a new tropical-themed bar located in the ground floor of Canvas, the new condominium building in Miami's arts and entertainment district. The tiki inspired spot features some incredible exotic craft cocktails accompanied by tropical cuisine and live music from local artists. And when they say cocktails, they mean it! No matter your taste or group size, Esotico has individual cocktails or cocktails big enough to satisfy eight people at once – a drink for everyone.

4. L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon

An especially exciting opening for the Miami Design District. Miami first heard it would be blessed with a Joel Robuchon restaurant in 2015, and now in 2019 the day has finally come! This highly anticipated restaurant is one of the most acclaimed fine dining restaurants in the world, with many of the nearly dozen locations holding more than one Michelin star. Will this restaurant opening lead to the first Michelin star rated restaurant in Miami? We all will have to wait to find out, however, everyone can dine at this incredible tribute to Joel Robuchon because it has finally opened its doors.

151 NE 41 St., Miami

5. Le Jardinier

Yet another incredible opening for the Miami Design District which continues to grow beyond expectations, is Le Jardinier. Born from yet another Michelin starred Chef Alain Verzeroli, the new restaurant will provide classic French fare in a light-filled space designed to transport you to a luxurious tropical garden right within the design district. You can visit this elegant culinary garden at Le Jardinier.

6. Pura Vida

The Miami Design District has finally been gifted with their very own Pura Vida! In our opinion, the more of these organic health food cafes popping up around Miami the better! The new location offers a beautiful atmosphere and a delicious menu that provides incredible yet healthy portion sizes, making anyone's lunch break a little more exciting.
