1. Cafe Kush, 7700 Biscayne Blvd
If you’re looking for a casual weeknight dinner, take yourself out to Café Kush, located inside MiMo’s Gold Dust Selina Motel. Its interior boasts a retro, neon light-filled diner vibe while the outside offers a beautiful, serene view of the narrow canal. With a French-inspired menu, be sure to try out some of their unique favorites like the frog legs. Kush hospitality has definitely given MiMo a gem with Café Kush!
2. La Social, 7601 Biscayne Blvd
We’re going to brunch! La Social is a casual yet lovely spot that works for a quiet brunch or even lunch. They offer their take on breakfast staples, a variety of sandwiches, salads, egg dishes, and pastries. The back patio, complete with a magically decorated carriage, is the fairy garden aesthetic of our dreams. With a seasonally driven menu and thoughtfully presented food, this place is THE hidden gem of MiMo!

Located in the Vagabond hotel, Mr. Mandolin has found itself in the perfect intersection between fast-casual and Aegean street food. If you’re coming here with a group, the Feast is a must-order menu item – a platter of shaved meats, dips, roasted veggies, Greek salad, rice pilaf, and fries. And if you’re more of a sweet tooth, Mrs. Mandolin – the café/bakery counterpart to Mr. Mandolin has fresh and authentic pastries that will have you begging to be adopted into the Mandolin family.

Open till 5am with a cozy, dim interior, Moshi Moshi fulfills all of our late night sushi cravings. With a cool, dimly lit, neon interior – this is definitely the spot after a night-out. The staff is friendly, the food is good, and the vibes are great. You’ll find yourself making friends with all the late night staff and probably getting way too full thanks to the big portions here. Some of our favorite rolls here are the Hero roll, Volcano roll, and Moshi Moshi roll.

5 years after being Miami’s first ever pop-up restaurant, Phuc Yea opened its permanent location that we love today. With an ambiance and atmosphere that’s perfect for a group dinner with friends, this place is a great spot to share a big bowl of authentic and delicious Vietnamese noodles and curry all while you get a little drunker than you originally planned with all your friends. With some Cajun, Thai, and Latin influence mixed in with the predominantly Vietnamese cuisine, this truly is a hidden gem here in MiMo. Make sure to try the “For The Table'' section of the menu – boasting 3 different versions of a giant bowl of Pho, each of which comes with chicken thighs and wings, a massive smoked short rib, or a 32-ounce pork shank. You’ll definitely be enjoying leftovers from here for a while!

This food-truck-turned-bagel-shop has garnered a cult-like following by offering some classics (especially for you NY/NJ people) such as bacon, egg, and cheese and lox supreme. For a more adventurous palate, El Bagel also serves funkier creations such as the King Guava – featuring a guava marmalade, potato sticks, cream cheese and a fried egg. If you’re a pasta enthusiast, this is your spot. They also offer takeout so you can enjoy their menu from the comfort of your home for a cozy night in.
19. Blue Collar, 6730 Biscayne Blvd
Small but mighty, Blue Collar is an upscale diner in MiMo, serving a great cheeseburger, big sandwiches, and braised meats. Think our favorite comfort foods, but elevated. The menu covers a lot of bases – from jambalaya, latkes, braised brisket, rainbow trout, veal parm, mac and cheese, spicy oxtail, and a dozen other things. It’s perfect for a weekend brunch or casual weeknight dinner, but make sure you come here ready to feast because chances are, whatever you have here at Blue Collar will be the sort of big heavy meal that will put you in the most satisfying food coma.

Chica is an impressive restaurant that is complete with an elegantly lit bar with plants hanging overhead, an open wall facing the ever-moving Biscayne Boulevard, and overall maximalist feminine and strong décor that sets a great vibe for a night out for dinner. The menu, described as a “celebration of Latin flavors” by chef Lorena Garcia, has lots of Miami classics such as arepas, ceviche, and shrimp dishes – drawing influence from Venezuela along with Peru, Brazil, Mexico, and Argentina.
